Hampdenfest

Hampdenfest, a local Baltimore festival celebrating all that is interesting in the Hampden neighborhood, nearly didn't happen this year. Due to everything going on for Baltimore's Sailabration, which was happening the weekend of the originally-scheduled Hampdenfest, the city felt it couldn't hold both. Some hard-working and determined organizers made sure 2014 saw Hampdenfest and I'm sure glad they did.

I only made there towards the end of the day, but it was well worth it!

This past weekend, hundreds of thousands of people flooded the streets of Baltimore for the 32nd annual Artscape, America's largest free arts festival. Here are some photos from a bit of Friday and some of Sunday!

Last month, I photographed my first wedding solo. Naturally, going into it, I was really nervous, but Jade and Tyshaun couldn't have made it any easier. They, along with their friends and family, made me feel so welcomed to be a part of their special day. Here are some shots from that day at the Bolling Air Force Base!

Baltimore Pride 2014

As well as Honfest, this past weekend also saw Baltimore Pride, an event that the Gay & Lesbian Community of Baltimore has put on since the 70s. Each year, the event grows larger, providing support, education, outreach, and advocacy for the LGBTQ community in Baltimore. Here are some of the photos from that day!

Honfest 2014

This year marked the 20th anniversary of Baltimore's famous Honfest. Every June, the Hampden neighborhood becomes flooded with beehives, flamingo sunglasses, and 50s dresses, welcoming people from all over the country who want to celebrate the heritage of Baltimore. Crack open a Boh and enjoy!

Ladyfest - Baltimore, MD (6/6/14)

Figured I would jump in and start a blog for the website.

This past Friday marked the first night of Ladyfest, a not-for-profit event highlighting the music of feminist and women (cis-women, trans, intersex, genderqueer and all supporters) artists. I missed the second night of performances, but here are some of the photos from the first night at The Windup Space.
